Creating a competitive ERA through empowerment of young researchers, CREATE training course, Udine, Italy, DL- April 15, 2007
This series of events is initiated by YEAR, Young European Associated Researchers, a network that
brings together young people from European re-
search and technology organisations in different
fields of science to exchange ideas and people. The
first training course is on creativity and innovation
and will take place in Udine, Italy, May 2007.
Objectives, May 2007. Innovation and creativity are the most important answers Europe has towards the upcoming competition from other parts of the world. This first training course aims at sharpening the creative thinking of
young researchers. It will train the ability to solve
complex research challenges in a creative way leading to innovation in an international project context.
Target group. Young researchers with up to four years relevant experience (group 1), and researchers with less than ten years experience (group 2). The number of participants is limited to 60, of which 2/3rd must belong
to group 1.
Submission. Candidates send a CV, and an abstract on an innovative project they are or have been involved in.
The selected participants then make posters on
these projects, which will form a permanent
exhibition throughout the event. Submission deadline is the 15th of April 2007.
