The Department of European Integration and International Cooperation has launched the “Fostering Cooperation within Scientific Diaspora of Republic of Moldova” project. The project aims to set up a platform of communication and interaction between Moldovan scientific Diaspora and the scientific community from the Republic of Moldova. For this purpose, on the first phase, Scientific Diaspora Network of the Republic of Moldova (SDNRM) will be created.

       The SDNRM objectives are to uphold and foster the communication /cooperation between Moldovan scientists emigrated abroad and their home colleagues; to set up means to support and assist Moldovan scientist abroad eager to engage themselves in the innovative process of the Republic of Moldova; to support the research institution from Moldova to engage in international projects initiated by foreign institutions of emigrated Moldovan scientists’ host countries.

       In order to reach these aims, in the first stage, it is planned to set up an electronic data-base that would contain the basic information of emigrated Moldovan scientists, as well, it is designed to launch a forum for discussions that would foster the cooperation and spread of ideas between all Moldovan scientists willing to cooperate in the frame of the SDNRM.
