The 3rd Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF), 18-22 July 2008 in Barcelona, Spain
The EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) is an open platform for debate and communication for the science community of Europe and the world promoted by Euroscience.
By bringing together researchers across disciplines and from all around Europe, Euroscience has created ESOF to promote the European Research Area (ERA). ESOF also encourages the young people of Europe to consider and develop careers in science, technology and the humanities.
ESOF fosters and promotes science communication. Science journalists and science communicators are key members of the ESOF community and their involvement ensures that as many people as possible grasp how European science and technology enriches our lives and affects us all. ESOF is a place where researchers can explain and relate their research to a broad audience.
