The 4th International Scientific Conference of Junior Researchers ''EU and its' New Neighbourhood: Assessing Results'', DL - May 28th, 2007

Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania) invites Ph. D. students and junior researchers, who have an input in the research on European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), to participate and present their papers in the 4th International Scientific Conference of Junior Researchers "EU and its' New Neighbourhood: Assessing Results".

The conference aims to assess what has been done in the ENP since 2004 in the political, economic, cultural, legal, trade, security and governance sectors.

The event will take place in the capital of Lithuania Vilnius on October 17-20, 2007. The number of participants is expected to reach 30 - 40, coming from the universities of EU members, candidate members and EU neighbours. The participants will be able to choose from six thematic workshops, each assessing a different aspect of European Neighbourhood Policy. The best papers will be published as conference proceedings. The papers will be edited by editorial staff and scientifically acknowledged.

The participants of the conference are encouraged to present their papers in one of the following conference workshops:
1 Workshop - Assessment of Political Dialogue and Reform;
2 Workshop - Assessment of Economic and Social Cooperation and Development;
3 Workshop - Assessment of Trade-Related Issues and Market Reform;
4 Workshop - Assessment of Cooperation in Justice and Home Affairs;
5 Workshop - Assessment of Results in Transport, Energy, Information Society, Environment, Research and Development Sectors;
6 Workshop - Assessment of Results in Human Dimension (People-to-People Contacts, Civil Society, Education, Public Health);

Note that it is possible to apply for reimbursement of accommodation and travel expenses. As conference budget is limited, the number of reimbursed participants is also limited, however, the organizing committee of the conference always tries to reimburse at least part of accommodation and travel expenses. Strong preference will be given to those presenting papers and registered at the earliest.
